Hundreds of thousands of people attended London's biggest gay pride event on Saturday 2/7/05. Pride parade organisers said the event was boosted by the masses of people flocking to the capital for the Live 8 concert in Hyde Park. An estimated 200,000 people watched the event, with 30,000 marching through London's streets and half of that number going on to Trafalgar Square for a rally. Around 50 floats took part in the procession to Victoria Embankment.

Live 8 organiser Sir Bob Geldof was at the start of the march in Park Lane along with actors Sir Ian Mckellen and Stephen Fry. We were there. See our own footage. Our video footage soon on our YouTube Channel.
